Heritage Day Overview
“Heritage Day”
is an event celebrating the rich culture of African-Americans. More
importantly, celebrating significant accomplishments and contributions
African-Americans have made to American Society.
"Heritage Day"
targets African-American consumers, ages 18-65, and their families. The
event is designed to bring families together in an atmosphere of
tradition and fun.
Heritage Day consists of three major components:
1) Black History Championship Rodeo: featuring
Black Cowboys & Cowgirls competing in Bull Riding, Bronco Riding,
Calf Roping, Steer Wrestling and Women's Barrel Race
2) Concert: Zydeco Music; enjoy the sound of rich Southern Tradition & Culture
3) Exposition: Food Vendors, Games, Rides, Arts & Crafts and much more...!
The theme of Heritage Day is centered on the importance of remembering cultural heritage and to strengthen family
values and traditions.
